Bluedrip Fogging Systems: Efficient Greenhouse Climate Control

Our fogging systems provide a highly effective method for cooling greenhouses by leveraging the natural process of evaporation. By introducing a fine mist into the greenhouse environment, our system absorbs heat from the surrounding air, lowering the temperature and creating a more comfortable climate for your plants.

How it works:

  • Heat absorption: Evaporation of the fog mist absorbs heat from the surrounding air, lowering the temperature.

  • Efficient cooling: Under optimal conditions, our fogging systems can reduce greenhouse temperatures by 4-6°C.

  • Environmental factors: The efficiency of the cooling system depends on external temperature and humidity.

Essential conditions for optimal performance:

  • Efficient ventilation: A well-functioning ventilation system is crucial for introducing dry air into the greenhouse and removing humid air.

  • Pulse operation: Intermittent fogging (pulse operation) helps minimize water accumulation on foliage.

Discover how Bluedrip fogging systems can create a more controlled and productive environment for your greenhouse operations.

How much water is needed to cool a greenhouse?

In our experience, fog precipitation of 2.5 to 3 mm/h is suitable in the majority of cases (3 mm/h = 30 m³/h per ha.)

How to choose the fogging duration and the interval between fogging pulses?

The interval between fogging pulses is set at 10 seconds. The duration of fogging depends on the air velocity created by the ventilation system.

The Importance of Droplet Size in Bluedrip Fogger Systems

The droplet size created by a fogger is a crucial factor in its effectiveness for cooling and humidifying greenhouses. Smaller droplets evaporate more quickly, absorbing more heat from the surrounding air and leading to more efficient cooling. Additionally, smaller droplets are less likely to wet the leaves and the greenhouse floor, preventing potential damage to plants and reducing the risk of mold or disease.

The 7 L/H Nozzle at 4 Bars

A 7 L/H nozzle operating at 4 bars typically produces fog droplets with an average size of 90 microns. This droplet size is ideal for greenhouse cooling and humidification as it allows for efficient heat absorption and minimal wetting of the plants and environment.

Installation Design for 7 L/H Bluedrip Fogger (T-Shape)

For optimal performance, the Bluedrip Fogger should be installed according to the following guidelines:

  • Distance between lines: 3 meters

  • Distance between foggers: 1.5-2 meters

  • Height: As high as possible above ground to ensure even fog distribution

  • T-shape mounting: Foggers should be mounted on a T-shaped configuration with two foggers installed perpendicularly to the mainline (anti-twist PVC)

Cooling and Humidification: A Balancing Act

It's important to note that cooling and humidification cannot be conducted simultaneously. To increase humidity, ventilation should be shut down, and fogging should be kept to a minimum duration (1 second). The intervals between fogging will depend on the desired relative humidity level. In the morning, when temperatures rise and humidity decreases, the humidity sensor will automatically activate the fogging system.

By following these guidelines and understanding the importance of droplet size, you can optimize the performance of your Bluedrip Fogger system and create an ideal climate for your greenhouse plants.

Bluedrip Fogger Systems: Versatile Applications

Our fogger systems have been successfully used in various countries for effective pesticide application. By creating a fine mist, our foggers ensure even distribution of pesticides, maximizing their effectiveness while minimizing waste.

Water Quality Considerations

To prevent clogging and salt buildup, it's recommended to use soft water, rainwater, or osmosis-treated water for irrigation. Avoid using hard or saline water, as these can lead to system issues and reduced performance.

Key improvements:

  • Focus on pesticide application: The revised introduction highlights the successful use of Bluedrip foggers for pesticide application.

  • Emphasis on water quality: The revised text emphasizes the importance of using high-quality water to prevent system issues.

  • Clearer language: The revised language is more concise and easier to understand.
